So, my good friend peewee wrote on her blog yesterday about a particularly fantastic day she had that involved joyful things like sleeping in, shopping, cupcakes, and enjoying a wood fire in her fireplace. But one particular thing in her post caught my eye: her trip to Cheesecake Factory where she had the Reeses Peanut Butter Chocolate Cake Cheesecake. Here's the description from their site:
Chunks of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups in our Original Cheesecake with Layers of Delicious Fudge Cake and Caramel. 25¢ from the sale of each slice will be donated to help feed hungry Americans in our communities.
Oooh! It's an $8 slice of cheesecake and a WHOLE 25¢ goes to feed the hungry! If that's not delicious irony (pun intended), I don't know what is.
Anyway, I decided that I needed to try this cheesecake immediately. So, after having a very sensible salad for lunch, I dove in. Let me say this: that photo doesn't do this thing justice. I love that it's chocolate cake and cheesecake together. It's not as thick and heavy as plain cheesecake, and it's not as rich as pure chocolate cake. This cake has a little of everything: cheesecake, chocolate cake, chocolate chips, peanut butter cups, caramel, peanuts, fudge, whipped cream. My goodness, it's like everything sinful and delicious all in one place. It's genius, really.
Not genius for someone who's trying to lose weight, of course. *cough*

So, are you saying I need to stop by the Cheesecake Factory tonight? Coincidentally, I am eating across the street from it after work. If that's not a sign, I don't know what it.
Wow - that sounds delicious!! I try to stay away from CF at all costs though... Too many yummy things in monster-size portions!
I KNOW! I KNOW!!!!!!! I couldn't even put it into words! Oh, and the chunks of peanut brittle, the gobs or caramel! OMG....I need another slice. It didn't do my diet well either. I told myself i would have ONE day off. But that cheesecake is in my dreams. My WAKING dreams. Let's all go! You me kris, whoever!
Kristina needs to do her part for the hungry families of America.
I suppose I do, too. Cheesecake, here I come!
oh, and I had NO idea about the 25 cents! HAHAHH! I got mine free. Sooooooo, that means in order to do my part for the starving, I should prob go again.
WOWWWWEEEE! You are evil!
bowled over by that generosity...
I know it would just lure me in if I was there in person though.
BTW, my feed is broken if no updates have been showing in your reader -- because everyone is focused everyday on the status of my feed ;-)
It looks awesome! Somewhere on my blog I posted a recipe for a brownie cheesecake that was pretty rockin' and easy.
