I make no apologies for my love of Twilight. Mostly because what I love about Twilight is that it's so criminally cheesy and awful. Mocking Twilight is a joy, pure and simple. So I've gone to the movies on opening night. I love seeing those commercials for Burger King where they have Team Jacob and Team Edward battling it out. Cheesy good fun, I say. And because I love the Twilight movies for being cheesy and bad, I was kind of disappointed when Eclipse was...not horrible. Oh, I'm not saying it was a good movie. The dialogue was still cringeworthy. The subject matter is still corny. Kristen Stewart is still...Kristen Stewart. But all in all? They did a better job with this movie than the first two. That's really not saying much. It was mediocre at best. But still a vast improvement. And...that just ruins the fun. I want the Twilight movies to be campy and laughable.
So: boooo, Eclipse! You were bad, but not bad enough!
Edited to add: while watching the movie, during Edward and Bella's non-sex scene, when Edward denies Bella's advances, Kris whispered "CHAGRIN!!" and I almost died laughing.

After the movie, I told my friend it didn't make me want to pour cyanide into my Diet Coke. It was definitely the best of the 3.
yah. there was just NOT ENOUGH sparkles this time. But how did you not laugh ridiculously that jacob NEVER wore a shirt!! Oh, and when they had their nonsex scene? And then that LAME explanation! OH! How I laughed!
I know. I was disappointed by how awful it turned out not to be.

I have never seen these movies but if they are "campy" I may need to check one out - I'm all for campy - Napoleon Dynamite being one of my faves
I still can't get over Bella's hypothermia and then the next day she's wearing skinny jeans and a 3/4 sleeve flannel.
Or Edward's hairy muppet arms.
Or that ugly ass engagement ring.
